The Chief Coach of the National Under 17 Basketball Team , Bala Nikyu, has invited Miss Leka Lee Ledogo Maeba to join the team for training in Abuja.
The coach said he was impressed by the brilliant performance of Leka at the just concluded All American University games, where she broke the record by scoring 17 goals.
Miss Leka reported to camp but couldn’t train, because her school is in session in New York. She is expected to join the National under 17 players.
The multi talented Leka is also a basketball player and a pianist, and has represented her school locally and internationally.
Leka is from Ogoni in Rivers State and daughter of a veteran politician and businessman,Senator Lee Maeba.
