RSG Dismisses Claims it owes Disbanded Taskforce Members Two Months Salaries




The Rivers State Commissioner for Information, Paulinus Nsirim, has dismissed claims by the members of the disbanded task force members are owed salaries.
Some members of the dissolved organization had Wednesday in a peaceful demonstration at the state Secretariat complex demanded for a payment of two months salaries as arrears owed them. 

In an interview with newsmen, they also blamed their leaders for allowing bad eggs to infiltrate into their ranks. They said strange persons infiltrated the taskforce and were given uniforms. 

They also blamed the State Government for not training them on assumption of duty.

But Nsirim in a phone conversation insists the government is not owing the sacked officials. were not trained. 

He added that all those recruited into the taskforce were properly profiled and dismissed claims that the taskforce was infiltrated. 
He further He also said the office of the Secretary to the state government will oversee issues of impounded vehicles.
