Vigilante Groups in Omuma Appeal to Government for better arms to face Criminals




Some vigilante groups rendering security services to communities on the Etche/Omuma federal road have appealed to Governor Nyesom Wike for assistance.
The groups said they have been relying on hunters guns to face daredevil criminals and is no longer adequate.

The members of the vigilante groups said their activities have boosted the communities’ internal security, reduced incidents of cultism, kidnapping and all forms of criminal activities in the area.

Patron of the vigilante group, Chief Raymond Oluo and the leader of the group, Anele Importance in an interview with journalists stressed that their partnership with the ONELGA Security Peace and Advisory Committee, OSPAC is yielding results.

Chief Oluo also highlighted the negative consequence of facing criminals with local guns. He said there was need to properly fortify and eqiup members of the vigilantes to perform more optimally.
