Task force members beat up Taxi Driver to Stupor at Eliozu

Some youths who claim to be members of the relaunched Tigers State Task force on Street Trading, Illegal Motor Parks have badly beaten and injured a taxi driver around the Eliozu Flyover axis of Port Harcourt.
According to City News the operatives who wore green reflectors pounced on the man for refusing to have over his car key after refusing to give them bribe.

Eyewitnesses told our correspondents that one of the operatives jumped into a shop selling kitchen utensils and picked a kettle on display and used it to strike the head of the taxi driver.

The boys reportedly scurried off after crowd started to build following the driver's cry for help.

He is currently receiving treatment at a pharmacy in the area.

It is unclear if the boys involved are members of the task force mobilised by the State Government earlier today to enforce it's ban on street trading and illegal motor parks.
