Rivers born former "Miss World" has recounted how she almost became Mrs Kanu Nwankwo if she paid attention to the former world star player.

 According to her;

I vividly recall the night of my dinner party in Port Harcourt. A tall, handsome man with a gap-toothed smile approached me, introducing himself as Nwankwo Kanu, the Arsenal footballer. He charmingly asked, "Can I be your king?"

While I was flattered by his attention, I was also preoccupied with the governor's invitation to join him at the high table. Unfortunately, I couldn't reconnect with Kanu after that. In those days, social media and mobile phones weren't as accessible as they are now, making it difficult to stay in touch.

Looking back, I see it as a missed opportunity. But life moves on, and I've embraced other experiences."
