ABOUT GOVERNMENT EVICTION ON KHANA STREET

There has been controversy over the eviction of residents of the Rivers State Government Housing Estate on Khana Street in DLine on Friday. Some of the residents insisted that they were not given any notice before being forcefully evicted. 

They also said  that the matter was still in court and so they were surprised by the action. However, the Rivers State Ministry of Housing has insisted that it was acting on a court order and that those evicted were illegal occupants.
