The Rivers State Honourable Commissioner for Special Services(Governor's Office),Hon Chukwuemeka Onowu has reinstated his resolve to support the government of Gov Nyesom Wike at all cost even if it takes his life. The Honourable Commissioner made this known when he led some members of the National Leadership of the Non-Indigenes Without Borders in Rivers State to a courtesy call on the Group Legal Adviser, Bar Uche Chikere in his house on Sunday 23 October, 2016.
..According to Hon Emeka Onowu, "what I am today and what I will be tomorrow were made possible by two persons; God and Gov Nyesom Wike. "Gov Nyesom Wike took me from nothing and by the grace of God, empowered me to what I am today. I will rather die than betray him or be a party to any group that seeks the downfall of Gov Wike. Anyone who wants to pull down the efforts of Gov Nyesom Wike should first kill me because I will never allow such to see the light of the day", he concluded. In the same vein, Non-Indigenes Without Borders in Rivers State have stated their resolve to resist any force or means by the Federal government and it's agencies, especially the DSS, to clampdown on the government of Gov Wike. In their separate speeches, Hon Chukwuemeka Onowu, who is the National Leader, Dr Pius Emezue, BOT Supervisor, Amb Henry Iyoha, BOT Chairman of Non-Indigenes Without Borders stated their readiness to resist anybody or agency who wants to tarnish the good image of Gov Nyesom Wike. According to them, the recent midnight invasion of the houses of judges in Nigeria, especially in Rivers State by officers of the Department of State Security Services are plots by the Federal Government and it's agencies to malign the peoples' government of Gov Nyesom Wike and they are ready to resist it. In his remark, Bar Uche Chikere assured them of his legal backing, especially as it concerns any unlawful attempt to disrupt the machinery of governance in Rivers State.
