Several Nigerians have called for the resignation of the Commissioner of Police, Rivers State Police Command, Ahmad Zaki, for failing to produce operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad who allegedly tortured an artisan, Lucky Joseph.
Joseph was allegedly tortured close to his residence in the Choba Extension, Obio Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
Mr Joseph was beaten and stripped naked last week last week Thursday.
Joseph later mentioned that some residents contributed N30,000 which they paid the operatives before he was released.
In response to a poll by The PUNCH on some social media platforms, Nigerians were unanimous that the state CP should resign if he could not bring the erring policemen to book.
The question says, “Should the Rivers Commissioner of Police resign for refusing to identify, arrest three rogue policemen who attacked Citizen Lucky with cutlasses? (Like for YES, Retweet for NO)”
