NIGERIA IS BLEEDING PROFUSELY SAYS GOV. WIKE




Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has stated that Nigeria is bleeding profusely  and  the only way to  stop the bleeding  is to vote out the APC Federal Government in 2019. 

He said that the current administration  is allowing  bloodletting  to continue unhindered, a situation which has led to God being angry with the country.

Speaking after he inaugurated gubernatorial liaison officers for the 23 Local Government Areas and 319 wards of the state on Friday at the Government House Port Harcourt, Governor Wike said it is incumbent  on all Nigerians to work towards voting out APC in 2019.

He said: "Nigeria is bleeding. There is so much blood in the land.  God is angry with Nigeria.  The only way for God to be happy with us  is for us to remove the APC in 2019".

Governor Wike announced that the State Government will also employ another 100, 000 gubernatorial liaison officers for all the polling units in the state. 

He said the Gubernatorial Liaison Officers will serve as his direct representatives in all communities of state for the purpose of generating quality information for good governance. 

The governor added that the liaison officers will also be saddled with the responsibility of propagating government policies in all communities. 

"All the Local Government Areas must have functional offices where people will interact with  the State Government through the liaison officers. 

"The Liaison Officers will collate information. They should hold regular meetings with community leaders and other  stakeholders ", he said.

In a remark, PDP National Vice Chairman, South-East, Mr Austin Umahi praised Governor Wike for the worthy initiative to take governance to the people. He said Governor Wike will emerge victorious in 2019 because of his outstanding performance. 

PDP National Vice Chairman , South-South, Elder Emma Ogidi urged all the liaison officers to be loyal to the Rivers State Governor and the PD0.

Responding on behalf of the liaison officers, Gideon Demua of Tai Local Government Area, assured Governor Wike that they will put in their best to promote good governance.
