The leadership of Omoku Youths Association(O.Y.A.) led by Comr. Ahiakwo Hopeson today met with the Ogba Egbema Ndoni Local Government Area Executive Council as led by the Executive Chairman; Chief(Amb)Odili Victor Ifeanyi.
The purpose of the meeting according to the Youth President was to congratulate and familiarise with the Chairman and his Executive Council.
He also used thesame opportunity to declare his administration's willingness to work with the Government at the Local Government Area, in his words "we are here today to commit ourselves to your Agenda".
He decried the Areas abandonment and underdevelopment despite being an Oil hub and a major contributor to the Nations economy.
Comr. Hopeson continued by enumerating some challenges facing the youth body and the Local Government Area at large, he went further to suggesting ways of addressing those challenges.
The Association also used thesame medium to hint the Chairman and Executive Council of their plan to host an "OMOKU YOUTHS FESTIVAL", an initiative which according to them will be targeted at reconciling varying interests in the Community.
The Chairman in his response, thanked the Association for the gesture, he also declared his administration's readiness to partner with the youths of ONELGA so as to make them productive to themselves, families and the Area.
The Chief Of Staff to Council; Hon. Chijioke Ejebide in his vote of thanks, commended the Association for showing solidarity and urged them to always preach peace, as it is the bedrock of development of any Area.
