The Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Special Chapter chairman Comr. Sokari Goodboy Sokari has condemned the unwanted military invasion of the Palace of King Ateke Michael Tom in Okochiri Town , Okrika LGA of Rivers State . King Ateke Michael Tom is a man of peace who is tirelessly using his wealth of experience in unifying all Niger Delta Youths and beyond .
The primary duty of the Military are to protect lives and property, ensure there is peace in the country and prevent external aggression.
Therefore, the military should not be sectional in their operations by allowing some greedy politicians to use them to undo innocent Nigerians for their selfish gains . Like they do in the North , the military should also respect the Royal Stools in Rivers State and Niger Delta at large . Niger Delta is not a conquered territory that they should be sending unprofessional military personnel for practice. They (the military) should have learned from their invasion of High Chief Government Tompolo's Palace . The Ijaw Nation and Niger Delta will never sacrifice any of her own again , enough is enough. Almighty God will never allow such to befell us , he said .
