IKOKU SPARE PARTS TRADERS PROTEST OVER THE VANDALIZATION OF THEIR SHOPS BY HOODLUMS

Spare parts traders at Ikoku are currently demonstrating over their loss of goods and properies worth millions of naira after hoodlums allegedly vandalized their shops on Tuesday night.
Port Harcourt based Journalist, Allwell Ene reports that some of the traders resumed business Wednesday morning to discover that their properties had been destroyed.
The traders are accusing their landlords of being behind the act.

Ene who reported from the scene said the traders informed him that an unknown investor bought over the market and wants them out before the end of August.

Recall the traders were last week given 3 weeks to vacate their shops by their landlords, an arrangement they had lamented was not feasible as the time given them was too short. They are pleading for time.

Security operatives latter arrived the scene to restore calm in the area.
