It was no news that Covid-19 did hit Nigeria badly. The truth is, unlike the rest of the world, Nigeria was not ready.
The government had authorized a business shutdown, the average Nigerian Business owner was broke talk less of the under-privileged who fed off them and families whose businesses had been shutdown in a bid to curb the deadly virus.
We at Portharcourtblog got series of heartbreaking plea and hunger rescue calls as well as disturbing videos /photos that we couldn’t bare overlooking; so we decided to reach out and help as many people as we could help by giving out groceries, toiletries, sanitizers and cash. This project was supported by some partners, donors and Volunteers and carried out in May 2020.
Portharcourtblog Covid-19 Help Outreach was initiated by Barisuka Lewis-Wikina and Co-Planned by Sira Lewis-Wikina and Nora Chisa Nnah and supported by Lewis-Wikina Barilee for Community and Environmental Impact Group
