A Port Harcourt based human rights activist and social crusader, Comrade Solomon Lenu has alleged that some officials, friends and allies of the Rivers State Government are distributing palliatives bought during the lockdow to cushion the hunger and hardship imposed by the first wave of COVID 19 but were allegedly hidden in undisclosed locations.
He alleged the palliatives are now being shared as Christmas gifts to supporters of the administration in the state.
Lenu took to his Facebook wall, Monday morning to lay the allegation.
He said he feels aggrieved seeing ignorant beneficiaries say: "Governor Wike Thank You o, for the Christmas gift, Hon. Lateh Loloo may God bless you o for remembering us for this Christmas. What? Christmas what? Wike & Co have been in government for five years now, which of the Christmas have they given you such supply?"

Few weeks after the #EndSars protest, when angry citizens in other states were breaking into warehouses across the country to take what was rightfully theirs, hidden away from them by the oppressors.
Some people questioned why same was not happening in Rivers State, some argued that there was none left because the government had said so, while some curious fellow who understood the evil mechanisation of those in charge today, argued to the contrary.
Upon these back and forth mood swings among the people, I set out to search for the TRUTH, and a startling revelation was made. I came to the public to rhetorically inform them that there was a huge amount of Covid-19 supplies stashed somewhere in the state, and I had proof & evidence because those inside the facility was working closely with me.

Some political praise singers said it wasn't true, while those in the inner circle who knew I was speaking the truth reached out to me & begged that I should not say any further, so that the state will not be thrown into another round of crisis because of palliative.
I agreed with them & didn't give the public the location on one condition, because they said it would be shared during Christmas, so I told them that, whenever they will be sharing it, they should still maintain the name as Covid-19 Palliative o, and not tag it with something else & use it to siphon more people's money in the custody of government.
Sadly, today am hearing things like, "Gov Wike Thank You o" for the Christmas gift, chai, Hon. Lateh Loloo may God bless you o for remembering us for this Christmas. What? Christmas what? Wike & Co has been in government for five years now, which of the Christmas have they given you such supply?
My question now is this, why can't politicians be truthful, and why are we the people so ignorant? Someone is giving you a piece of what he stole from you & you are there dancing over the moon about it.
2023 will not be like 2019, take it from us.
