Rivers born medical doctor, Prof. Iyalla Elvis Peterside has been named one of America’s Best Physicians for the year 2020 by the US National Consumer Advisory Board.
Prof. Peterside is from Opobo in Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The physician is the latest in a long list of successful Nigerians in various professions, clinching top positions in the United States, as good ambassadors of the country.
Peterside is a Professor of Paediatrics and Neonatology at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School and a Consultant at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia considered one of the best children’s hospitals in the world where he has worked for over 20 years.
