OSPAC Member Allegedly Kills Colleague at Igwuruta

A mild drama played out on Thursday at the Igwurutali axis of Ikwerre Local Government Area when a member of the local vigilante group operating in the area, OSPAC, mistakingly shot at a colleague.

A source informed our correspondent that the vigilante member was attempting to shoot into the air when he allegedly misfired and the bullet instead hit his colleague who immediately dropped dead.

Both men were said to be on duty when the incident happened.

The remains of the deceased was said to have been moved away by his colleagues, away from the prying eyes of members of the public who were already gathering to take a view of the fallen vigilante.

When contacted, spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni, said he has not been informed about the development.
