The Rivers State House of Assembly has given its approval for the N220 Billion Supplementary Budget, which will fund the construction of the Port Harcourt Ring Road. This decision was made after the bill passed its third reading and received a positive vote from 25 lawmakers.
The Port Harcourt Ring Road project includes the construction of six flyovers and one bridge, creating a vital transportation route that will span across six local government areas.
While the allocated budget may seem substantial, Ross Alabo-George, a tech and engineering consultant, believes that the proposed Port Harcourt Ring Road has the potential to greatly contribute to the urban development of Rivers State.
