*OBIRIKWERE: COMMISSIONER FOR POWER, HON. SOLOMON EKE REACTS TO 15 POWER POLES KNOCKED DOWN ACCIDENTALLY BY PHED OFFICIALS*
• _Assures That The RIVERS STATE Ministry Of Power Is On Top Of The Situation_
The Rivers State Ministry of Power has reacted to the accident that happened along Obirikwere Airport road, Port Harcourt Rivers State, where over 15 Electric Power poles were knocked down.
Speaking during an inspection tour of the incident to extray the level of damage done, The Hon. Commissioner For Power, *HON. SOLOMON ABEL EKE* and a team from the Ministry said that the accident occurred as a result of PHED contractors on official duty accidentally knocking down some poles.
Furthermore, *HON. SOLOMON ABEL EKE* confirmed that PHED had already taken outages away from the affected areas and that rectification and restoration of the poles as well as power supply is already ongoing, stating that the Ministry Of Power is on top of the situation.
*EKE* , advised Rivers residents to always call the attention of the ministry via their feedback channels whenever situations of this manner arises and consequently he sought the support of Rivers People to effectively maintain the steady power supply the state is currently enjoying.
