Ganduje Declares Okocha-led APC as Authentic, Eyes Rivers State in 2027

Port Harcourt, Rivers State - The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially recognized the leadership of Chief Tony Okocha as the authentic leadership of the party in Rivers State. National Chairman Abdullahi Ganduje, during a recent visit to Port Harcourt, inaugurated Okocha and his State Working Committee (SWC).

Ganduje dismissed the notion of factions within the party, stating that the Okocha-led executive is the sole recognized leadership. He expressed optimism about the party's future in Rivers State, vowing to replicate the success achieved in Edo State and capture the state's governorship in 2027.

Okocha, in his acceptance speech, pledged to unite the party and ensure victory in future elections. He criticized the current Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, questioning his party affiliation and eligibility to contest in 2027.

The APC's move to consolidate its position in Rivers State comes amidst ongoing legal battles and internal wrangling. Despite court orders recognizing a different leadership faction, the party's national leadership has firmly backed Okocha and his team.

As the political landscape in Rivers State continues to evolve, the APC's strategic moves and the leadership tussle within the party will be closely watched.
