NYSC Director Urges Corps Members to Excel



Port Harcourt, Nigeria – The Director of NYSC Media, Chief Emeka Mgbemena, has encouraged 2024 Batch C Stream I Corps Members deployed to Rivers State to strive for personal growth and excellence.

During a visit to the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Nonwa-Gbam Tai, Mgbemena emphasized the importance of imbibing the core values of the NYSC Scheme. He urged the Corps Members to take advantage of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) training, highlighting its potential to empower them economically.









"The SAED training is your gateway to economic freedom," he stated. "I urge you to take it seriously and use the skills acquired to create sustainable livelihoods."

Mgbemena also emphasized the importance of patriotism and national development. He called on the Corps Members to contribute positively to the nation's growth through hard work, dedication, and commitment. He warned them against engaging in activities that could jeopardize their safety and security, such as unauthorized journeys, late travels, and involvement in cultism.

The State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, briefed the Director on the camp's activities and the Corps Members' positive conduct. He expressed optimism about the future of Nigeria, citing the exemplary behavior of the young Corps Members.

The Director's visit was marked by cultural performances, including captivating dance and martial arts displays, which showcased the rich cultural heritage of Rivers State.
