Rivers State Commends Nigerian Navy for Promoting Peace and Security



Port Harcourt, Nigeria – The Rivers State Government has expressed its gratitude to the Nigerian Navy for its significant contributions to maintaining peace and security within the state.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara, represented by the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Israel Lebura Ngbuelo, commended the Navy's unwavering commitment to safeguarding maritime security and its exceptional training programs at the Naval Training Command.

During the Naval Training Command Dinner Party 2024, the Governor acknowledged the Navy's crucial role in enhancing security on Rivers State's waterways, which has directly contributed to peaceful coexistence among communities. He stressed the importance of continued cooperation between military and civilian authorities to ensure the nation's overall security and prosperity.

Governor Fubara encouraged the Naval Command to maintain its high standards of excellence, recognizing their vital role as future guardians of the nation's maritime domain.
