The Rivers State Police Command set to destroy expired explosive materials in Tai LGA, Rivers State

 Tai, Rivers State - The Rivers State Police Command will destroy expired explosive materials on Wednesday, December 18th to Friday, 20th, 2024. The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit will conduct this operation in Kporghor Community, Tai Local Government Area, from 9:00 AM daily.

Oildata Nigeria Limited, the owner of these materials, has obtained necessary approval and will oversee the destruction process under the supervision of police experts.

DESTRUCTION OF EXPIRED EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS
The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that approval has been granted to Oildata Nigeria Limited to render and destroy some explosive materials in its custody which have been examined by relevant experts and found to have expired.
2. This exercise will be carried out on Wednesday 18th to Friday 20th December, 2024, by the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) of the command from 0900hrs daily at Kporghor Community in Tai Local Government Area of Rivers State.
3. The general public and indeed residents of Kporghor Community are hereby enjoined not to panic if they hear deafening loud sounds emanating from the exercise as every precautionary measures have been put in place to avert any danger.
