The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has issued a strong warning to the public to disregard any purported recruitment announcements for the Port Harcourt Refining Company (PHRC).
Reports have surfaced of a fraudulent recruitment notice circulating on online platforms, falsely claiming to offer employment opportunities at the refinery.
In a statement, Olufemi O. Soneye, Chief Corporate Communications Officer of NNPC Ltd., clarified that there is no separate recruitment process currently underway for the PHRC. He emphasized that the ongoing recruitment drive for all NNPC Ltd. businesses, which commenced last year, encompasses all subsidiaries, including the Port Harcourt Refinery.
Soneye further stated that candidates who successfully passed the Computer-Based Aptitude Test stage are now proceeding to the interview phase this week.
"The purported recruitment link circulating online is a malicious attempt by fraudsters to exploit the recent revitalization of the Port Harcourt Refinery and deceive unsuspecting individuals," the statement read. "We urge the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to this fraudulent scheme."
