In a somber development coming out of the United States, officials have confirmed a devastating aviation accident at Edwards Air Force Base in California.
A B-52 Stratofortress crashed shortly after takeoff during what was described as a routine test mission yesterday, Monday, June 15, 2026. The Air Force has reported that all eight crew members on board are believed to have perished in the incident, as initial assessments indicate the crash was not survivable.
Edwards Air Force Base, known as the primary center for military flight testing, has suspended all non-essential operations. A safety investigation board has been convened to determine the cause of the disaster, which has left the military community in shock.
