A leading media group in Rivers State, the Inter-ethnic Network for Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, INCRA, commends President Muhammadu Buhari over his declaration of interest to contest in the forthcoming Presidential polls in 2019.
Speaking through a spokesman, the said;
“As a group, we are not oblivious of the dire economic strait our nation was plunged into arising from deliberate neglect, lack of prudent management and insufficient political will to tackle the myriads of problems that rocked the nation. It had to take the emergence of a disciplined and focused leader like President Buhari to lift the nation out of the precipice.It is against this backdrop and other obvious reasons that we and numerous other Nigerians are deeply elated over Mr. President's decision to contest the forthcoming elections and consolidate on the uncommon transformation and gains which his government has recorded in every sector of governance.
President Buhari has demonstrated that he has the required capacity, courage and political will to lead the nation to its preferred future and as such we would expect that all well-meaning Nigerians should rally round the President and give him the required support to continue his good works. Having boldly declared his intentions to be in the ballots in 2019, we dare the PDP to field that candidate that can march President Buhari's widespread popularity and National acceptance. Mr. President's declaration automatically passes the buck to the PDP.
For us in Rivers State, we are determined to completely annihilate and erase every vestige of the retrogressive PDP in Rivers State come 2019.”
