The Mayor of Port Harcourt City,Hon Victor Ihunwo has ordered the closure of all illegal motor parks and loading points in the city of Port Harcourt within 7days of this notice.
He said that at the expiration of this ultimatum ,all drivers of taxi's and buses should ensure that they make use of designated motor parks and loading points in the city, or stand the risk of having their vehicles impounded with severe fine by the council authorities.
In the same vain, the mayor has banned all trading activities on the streets of Port Harcourt,with much emphasis on those trading illegally at GRA Junction, Waterlines, Garrison and Lagos Bus stop .The council has set up a high powered tax force to ensure this directive is carried out swiftly.
