RIVERS GOVERNOR'S WIFE WELCOMES NEW YEAR BABIES





The Wife of the Rivers State Governor,  Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike on Wednesday welcomed three New Year Babies at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital in Port Harcourt. 
The First New Year Baby,   Ijeoma Sandra was born to the family of Sergeant & Mrs Destiny  Ijeoma by 1.04am on New Year Day. She weighed 3.1kg at birth. 

The Second and Third New Year Babies were also born at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital in Port Harcourt. 

 Baby Ezekiel Hart Agatha, born at 6:28am  to the family of Mr and Mrs Ezekiel Hart Nathaniel weighed 3.1kg at birth, while Baby Innocent Siya born to the family of   Chief and Mrs Batubo Innocent weighed 2.7 kg at birth.
All three girls are from Rivers State. 

Justice Nyesom-Wike extended gifts and cash to the New Year Babies and their parents. She prayed for God's protection and blessing for the new year Babies and their families. 

She said: "Rivers State is going to be greater. This will be the  least place that we will find ourselves. We will have more things to celebrate in Rivers State. 

"I want to encourage our parents to hold fast unto God, knowing that God will give them the Grace to carry  out their responsibilities. "

The Wife of the Rivers State Governor also extended gifts and cash to other mothers at the maternity ward of the Rivers State  University Teaching Hospital. 

Speaking, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike thanked God that the women delivered without complications.  She said that this marks the beginning of a year, in which mothers would enjoy safe delivery.

She said: "My message to Rivers people angis that we should be expectant. This is a wonderful year. 2020. This kind of combination comes only once in a century. It is going to be a remarkable  year. 

"I want to urge everyone in Rivers State, especially  the youth to be law abiding and continue to believe anf trust in God."

She extended the warm greetings of the Rivers State Governor,  Nyesom Ezenwo Wike to the new mothers, saying that he is committed to the welfare of Rivers people.

Justice Nyesom-Wike also visited the labour room of the Hospital,  where she prayed God to grant the expectant  mothers safe delivery.  

Chief Medical Director,  Rivers State University Teaching Hospital,  Dr Friday Aaron said that the first baby of the year represents a new beginning.  He said the hospital is happy because the babies were delivered with complications and the mothers also had no complications.
