Man whose 6 months old baby was abducted, after wife was allegedly thrown in Septic Tank Demands Fast Prosecution of Suspect

Husband of Chizoba Eke, the nursing mother who was allegedly kidnapped and thrown into a septic tank at Igwuruta, Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State after her six months old baby was snatched from her is now demanding for Justice.
The man, Prince Eke told Journalists at the hospital where his wife is receiving treatment for the injuries sustained from her attacker said he wants the case to be given the desired attention it deserves.

Eke said he is still in a shock as to how a man he considered as a brother would want his wife dead and also kidnap his six months old baby.

Narrating his ordeal, Eke recounted what transpired on the day the incident happened.

He said the suspect, simply identified as Chinedu had told him to come to his house for a job. According to Eke, while he was on his way to answer him, Chinedu allegedly went to his own house to lure his wife that he (Eke) was calling her.

Eke said his wife narrated how while they were on their way to presumably meet him, the suspect, used a plank to hit her and collected the baby. He then allegedly pushed her into a septic tank in an uncompleted building and ran away.

Eke said a member of the Igwuruta community who heard her screaming alerted other people who rescued her.

City News had previously reported that the suspect was arrested by police officers on stop and search duty at Omerelu area of Rivers State on his way to Imo State.

The suspect is presently detained at State CID Port Harcourt.
