 ...Clarifies that Students in JSS3 are allowed to Resume



The Rivers State Commissioner for Education, Professor Kaniye Ebeku, says it is needless for parents to panic over their children's safety as schools in the state reopens today.
He said that the state government has deployed all necessary support to ensure the safety of students against the corona virus pandemic.

Speaking during a routine monitoring of schools resumption, Professor Ebeku noted that the state government through the ministry of Education had provided necessary equipments and kits required for the reopening  of schools.

He said, "Well in this state, we have taken precaution to ensure that we prepare before our students come back to our school and you can see, the children are back to school, the Principals and teachers are also back and revision classes are on going and the environment is clean and tidied."

"We are quite happy that this is happening now and our expectations is that our children will do exceedingly well."

"We will continue to insist and advise the principals and teachers that we will ensure strict compliance and enforcement to the Covid19 protocols in the the interest of everyone."

Speaking further Professor Ebeku clarified that students in JSS3 are allowed to resume as schools reopen.

On the level of compliance to the COVID-19 health guidelines, the Education Commissioner commended  administrators of schools visited for the adhering to government directives.
