Ebubu Youths in Eleme Appeal to RSG to Rehabilitate Vandalised and Abandoned Community Health Centre

The Ejamah Youth Council of Ebubu Community in Eleme Local Government Area has appealed to the Rivers State Government to come to the aid of the community by rehabilitating it's health centre which it said has been vandalized and rendered useless.
The youth council in a statement by it's president, Comr. John Aforji Oguru said the terrible condition of the facility has forced health care workers to relocate to a small community town hall in Obolo village inside Ebubu.

He said the area the heath workers relocated to is neither proper nor conducive for health delivery making it difficult for rural dwellers in the area to access proper medical care.

The youth leader blamed the condition of the health centre on poor management, lack of maintenance culture and adequate security structure.

Oguru said another visible challenge is that the abandoned health center is few kilometers away from the living area in the community "such that hoodlums can go to the area and successfully carry out their operation since the health center is far from the living environment and totally out of sight.

"Therefore something urgent should be done immediately by the Rivers State Ministry of health".
