Clerics under the aegis of National Inter-Faith and Religious Organisation for Peace (NIFROP) have declared 21-day intercessory prayers to usher Nigeria into the new year.
According to the clerics, the year 2021 will be a year of peace and prosperity for Nigeria and her people.
The religious group said the exercise is themed, "2021: Our Year of Overcoming Agents of Destabilization, Coup Plotters and Blood Sucking Demons working against President Muhammadu Buhari, the Nation and Humanity."
In a statement signed by the grand patron of NIFROP, Archbishop Julius Ediwe, the group said the event would take place between January 4, and January 25, 2021.
Ediwe said: "We shall be congregating under the Unity Church and Unity Masjid with Christian and Islamic Clerics in a rare display of unity of purpose in prayers for Nigeria."
The religious group said that 2021 will be a good year for Nigeria.
