RSHA laments Sea Piracy in Bonny, Backs Protest by Youths





The Honourable Member Rivers State House of Assembly Representing the good people of Bonny State Constituency Hon. Abinye Pepple laments the unscrupulous and incessant killings on the Bonny water ways especially the lives of the youth of the area.


Hon. Abinye stated this when youths from the area where on a peaceful protest in Port Harcourt earlier today at the state assembly complex on moscow road where he received the protesters flanked by the representative of the Speaker, Hon. Christian Ahiakwo a member of the state assembly.

He maintained that Governor Nyesom Wike has done so much in the provision of security logistics and mobility stressing that the security architecture of the area is beyond the state government.



He said, "This is a call for the federal government who's presence is seen in every part of Bonny Kingdom, we're dying by the day and we want Justice for our kidnapped and killed brothers.

"Bonny Kingdom is blessed and all we're demanding is justice and security of our waterway's so our businesses will continue to strive, so our people we no longer live in fear of the unknown".



Hon. Abinye assured the youth that he is behind their meaningful and peaceful agitation as it is their right to do so. He promised the protesters that their demands will presented on the floor of the state assembly through the speaker as a matter of urgency.

Rt. Hon. Ikuiyi Owaji Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly represented by Hon. Christian Ahiakwo the House Committee Chairman on Education reassured the protesters that their demands will be adequately peruse and all the security outfits in the state and stakeholder's will be engage to ensure a lasting peace and a total stop to killings hence, we condemned it in strongest terms.
