Gov. Fubara Approves N200Billion Supplementary Budget for Port Harcourt Ring Road Construction

Governor Sim Fubara has officially given his approval to the N200 Billion Supplementary Budget aimed at financing the construction of the Port Harcourt Ring Road. This crucial development came after the Rivers State House of Assembly passed the bill, transforming it into law. With this financial backing, the long-awaited project is set to commence soon.

The Port Harcourt Ring Road is expected to cover a distance of 50.15km and traverse six Local Government Areas. This ambitious road project will be equipped with modern infrastructure, including six flyovers, one well-structured bridge, and a well-lit thoroughfare adorned with streetlights. These features are designed to ensure a safe and efficient transportation system that meets the needs of the growing population in this region.

The forthcoming launch of the project is highly anticipated by the local communities in the six LGAs. The road's construction will not only improve connectivity and reduce travel time but also bring a surge in economic opportunities, such as increased trade and commerce. The inclusion of flyovers, bridge, and streetlights reflects the government's commitment to enhancing road safety and ensuring a smooth traffic flow for both passengers and goods, fostering growth and development in Port Harcourt and its surrounding areas.
