Wike revokes lands owned by Peter Obi, Imoke, BUA, Julius Berger and over 165 others in Abuja


Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has revoked  the land ownership rights of Presidential Candidate Peter Obi and former Cross Rivers State Governor , Liyel Imoke in Abuja. 


This action was taken as part of the revocation of 165 plots of land whose certificate of occupancy was withdrawn. 


According to the notice issued by FCT's Permanent Secretary, the lands were revoked because the owners failed to develop them as agreed upon. 


Other prominent Nigerians affected by this decision include former Minister Udo Udoma, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Ufot Ekaette, former senator Victor Oyofo, and the late publisher Sam Nda-Isaiah. Corporate establishments such as BUA, Julius Berger, and Honeywell also had their land allocations revoked. 


As the FCT Minister, Wike has made it clear that he intends to rectify the Abuja Master plan, even if it means causing some displeasure
