The Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Victor Oko-Jumbo, has called on academics to bring their professional expertise and technical insight to support the Governor Siminialayi Fubara-led administration in accelerating the progress of Rivers State. He assured that informed suggestions are always welcomed.
Speaking during a visit by the Rivers State University exco of the Rivers Academics For Sim and Ordu (RASO) led by Professor Akuro Gobo, Mr Speaker reiterated the importance of collaboration.
Professor Gobo expressed the group's commitment to supporting the Governor and his deputy, praising the Governor's worker-friendly policies. He mentioned that RASO, which has hundreds of members across Rivers campuses, is ready to contribute to the state's development in line with the Governor's vision.
