RIVCHPP Strengthens Commitment to Digital Health and Capacity Building at CIFAL Nigeria Launch


On January 28, 2025, the Acting Executive Secretary of RIVCHPP, Dr. Vetty Agala, joined distinguished leaders at the official launch of the UN International Training Centre for Local Authorities and Actors (CIFAL Nigeria) at Rivers State University (RSU), Port Harcourt.




At the event, Dr. Agala received the UNITAR Letter, reaffirming RIVCHPP’s dedication to affordable healthcare and capacity building. Dr. Ebru Canan Sokullu, UNITAR Team Lead, highlighted the transformative impact of CIFAL Nigeria’s Digital Health training, set to benefit healthcare professionals, including field workers across Nigeria.
The Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Professor Ngozi Nma Odu, delivered a goodwill message, emphasizing the state government’s commitment—under the leadership of His Excellency, the Governor of Rivers State—to advancing this mandate through RSU, led by the Vice-Chancellor.
This landmark collaboration between UNITAR and RSU signals a new era in leadership development, digital health innovation, and capacity building. RIVCHPP is eager to leverage this partnership to enhance healthcare access, strengthen service delivery, and drive innovation in Rivers State.
