The Nigerian Army’s 6 Division has launched its highly anticipated annual Combat Proficiency Competition in Port Harcourt, aimed at sharpening the skills and readiness of troops stationed in the Niger Delta. The week-long event, which commenced today, is designed to enhance operational efficiency and ensure soldiers are equipped to tackle the region’s unique security challenges.

Held at a military training facility in Port Harcourt, the event has drawn participants from various units under the 6 Division’s command. Community leaders have also expressed support for the initiative, with Port Harcourt resident and business owner Chidi Okonkwo stating, “It’s reassuring to see our soldiers training hard to keep us safe.”
