The Rivers State Police Command has unveiled ASP Agabe Blessing Kaborlo as its new Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), following the approval of Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.
A daughter of Ogoni soil from Tai Local Government Area, ASP Kaborlo brings both academic firepower and frontline experience to the role. She was commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force in 2023 after completing a rigorous five-year training programme at the Nigeria Police Academy, where she graduated with a Law degree. She further sharpened her legal edge with a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Rivers State University.
No stranger to the corridors of police public relations, ASP Kaborlo previously served as Second-in-Command at the PPRO office in Rivers State — a role that gave her an insider's grasp of media and community engagement. Her career has also taken her through the Divisional Police Station in Okporo and the Command's Human Rights Section, giving her a well-rounded policing background.
The Rivers State Police Command says her appointment signals a renewed commitment to open communication, accountability, and stronger ties between the force and the communities it serves.
