What was meant to be a week of celebration and youthful engagement quickly turned sour when suspected members of rival confraternities reportedly the Vikings and the Klu Klux Klan (KKK) went on a rampage in a battle for territorial dominance. The situation worsened mid-week when a 100-level student was shot on campus, bringing the grim reality of campus violence right to the doorstep of the university community.
