​Commuters and residents of the Garden City can breathe a collective sigh of relief as the Rivers State Police Command successfully busted a notorious "one-chance" robbery syndicate that has been terrorizing unsuspecting passengers across major routes in the metropolis.

The criminal gang, known for luring victims into commercial vehicles under the guise of regular transport before dispossessing them of cash, phones, and other valuables at gunpoint, was neutralized following a series of intelligence-led operations by tactical units of the Command. Key suspects linked to the syndicate have been arrested and are currently cooling their heels in police custody, where they are undergoing interrogation to track down other fleeing members of the network.

Police Urge Public Vigilance

While commending the operatives for the breakthrough, the State Police Command has reiterated its commitment to flushing out violent criminals from the state.
