All commercial transport operators have until October 31, 2026, to ensure their vehicles are fully painted in the officially approved Rivers State commercial transport colors.
If you are yet to take your vehicle to the paint shop, consider this your ultimate wake-up call. The Ministry has made it clear that full enforcement, routine checks, and immediate vehicle impoundments will kick off on November 1, 2026
with no exceptions or grace periods.

commercial transport vehicle

including intra-city taxis, mass
transit buses, and tricycles (keke
napep).
The Consequences: Starting
November 1, any unpainted

summarily impounded by
enforcement teams, and owners will
face stiff penalties and fines before
release.
