APC LAWMAKERS TO HOLD THANKSGIVING SERVICE THIS WEEKEND




Lawmakers in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, will on Saturday, February 10, 2018, hold a special thanksgiving service to appreciate God for their victories in the Court of Appeal. 

A statement issued in Port Harcourt by the Chairman, Publicity Sub-Committee, of the Thanksgiving service, Chief Tony Okocha, said the thanksgiving service will hold at the Saint Paul's Anglican Cathedral, Diobu, Port Harcourt while the reception will hold at the Port Harcourt Polo Club.

The Lawmakers include the Senator representing Rivers South-East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Magnus Ngei Abe; the members representing Eleme/Tai/Oyigbo, Khana/Gokana and Emohua/Ikwerre Federal Constituencies in the House of Representatives, Hon. Barry Mpigi, Hon. Maurice Pronen and Hon. Chidi Wihioka, respectively.

Other Lawmakers are the member representing Eleme, Khana II and Tai Constituencies in the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Josiah Olu; Hon. Friday Nkeeh and Hon. Mathew Dike, respectively.
 
The statement reads in part, "Lawmakers of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rivers State chapter, are appreciating the benevolence of God with a Special Thanksgiving Service, termed 'The Victory Thanksgiving' for their victory at the National and the Rivers State House of Assembly”.

"The Victory Thanksgiving will hold at St. Paul's Cathedral, Anglican Communion, on Saturday, February 10, at 9:00am, in Port Harcourt. Reception will commence after the Church Service at the Port Harcourt, Polo Field, GRA Phase 2, at 11:00am”.

"The Victory Thanksgiving' Service is specifically to thank God for the Appeal Court judgment that affirmed the Electoral Victories of Senator Magnus Ngei Abe; Three Members of the House of Representatives: Hon. Barry Mpigi; Hon. Maurice Pronen and Hon. Chidi Frank Wihoka, including three members of the Rivers State House of Assembly: Hon. Josiah Olu; Hon. Friday Nkeeh and Hon. Mathew Dike”.

"Their Electoral victories gave a face to the APC in Rivers State. God kept aglow the rhythm of the APC in Rivers State because He gave a formidable voice to the party through their representation of our people at the national and state legislature.
 
"We therefore request your esteemed presence as we sing this hallelujah chorus to the glory of God and also thank the electorates for reposing this measure of confidence on our friends."
