Yesterday 1st January 2020 began with a Thanksgiving service at St. John's Catholic Church, Obioha, Omuma. Hon. Kelechi Nwogu led his family and political associates to the first mass of the year.
The return leg of Novelty football match between Rivers Angels and Omuma Ex Professionals that was played a fortnight ago, took place yesterday. The first leg saw the current champions of Nigerian Professional Football League defeat the Omuma side by 2 goals to nil, the second leg played yesterday ended 2-1 in favour of Omuma Ex Professionals.
Hon. Kelechi Nwogu gave an assist that put Omuma Ex Professionals in the lead in the second half, he went on to score the second goal for his team. Rivers Angels scored a consolation goal towards the end of the match.
The beauty queens contesting for Miss Heritage Pageant made special appearance in the novelty match. An appearance that gave colour and glamor to the event of yesterday.
