PDP NWC Officially Recognizes Governor Fubara as Rivers State Leader

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially recognized Governor Siminialayi Fubara as the party leader in Rivers State. This confirmation came following a consultative meeting held by the party's National Working Committee (NWC) in Port Harcourt.

During the meeting, the NWC commended Governor Fubara for his strong leadership within the party and his effective governance of the state.

Speaking to the press, PDP National Treasurer Ahmed Yayari Mohammed emphasized that the visit aimed to solidify the party's structure in Rivers State ahead of the 2027 elections. He praised Governor Fubara's efforts to unify the party and reposition it for future success.

The NWC also expressed unwavering support for Sir Ude Okoye, whose reinstatement as PDP National Secretary was recently upheld by the Court of Appeal. Mr. Mohammed affirmed that there are no legal impediments to Sir Okoye's return to his position and urged all party members to unite behind him and other party leaders to ensure the continued progress of the PDP.
