Rivers Aims to Host FEPGA Again, Says Head of Service

Rivers State is eager to host another Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA), according to Dr. George Nwaeke, the state's Head of Service.

FEPSGA is an annual sports competition for Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the Federal Public Service. Rivers State recently hosted the 43rd edition of FEPSGA, dubbed "Simplified Rivers 2024," in Port Harcourt from November 27th to December 5th. The games attracted over 10,000 athletes and officials who participated in approximately 16 sporting events.

Dr. Nwaeke, who also served as Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee for the Games, expressed pride in hosting the event. He stated, "Hosting FEPSGA this year placed us among the select few states that have hosted the games at least twice. We aspire to further distinguish ourselves by becoming the first state to host the Games three times."
