Rivers First Lady Brings Joy to New Year Babies

Lady Valerie Fubara, wife of Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara, ushered in the New Year by spreading love and kindness to the newest members of Rivers State society. She visited the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) and the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital (RSUTH) to present gifts to the first babies born on January 1st and their families.

At UPTH, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Prof. Justina Jumbo, Lady Fubara expressed her delight at welcoming the new arrivals and reaffirmed the Fubara administration's commitment to supporting vulnerable members of society.

At RSUTH, represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Uchechukwu Uriri, Lady Fubara emphasized her passion for community service and her annual tradition of celebrating babies born on special occasions like Christmas and New Year's Day.

Both hospitals expressed gratitude for the First Lady's gesture. Prof. Datonye Alasia, representing the Chief Medical Director of UPTH, thanked Lady Fubara and reiterated the hospital's dedication to providing quality healthcare services.
