Rivers APC Condemns Wike's Attack on Odili, Says Former Governor Won't Dignify Response

Rivers State APC chieftain Joe Korka-Waadah has strongly criticized Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike for his recent verbal attacks on former Rivers State Governor Peter Odili.

Korka-Waadah asserted that Dr. Odili, a highly respected elder statesman, is far too eminent to engage in a verbal exchange with Wike. He highlighted Odili's significant contributions to Rivers State, including his role in elevating Wike's political career.

"Wike has no respect for anyone," Korka-Waadah stated. "He owes Odili an immense debt of gratitude. Odili will not dignify Wike with a response. It is enough that Governor Fubara, who should be looking up to Wike, is now teaching him a lesson in credible leadership."

Meanwhile, former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Timi Frank, condemned Wike's actions, accusing him of betraying his friends and benefactors. Frank cited Wike's history of turning against political allies, including former President Goodluck Jonathan and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.

Frank warned President Bola Tinubu to be cautious in his dealings with Wike, comparing the FCT Minister to Brutus in Julius Caesar – a trusted confidante who ultimately betrayed his friend.
