Port Harcourt — Tony Okocha, the factional chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, has claimed that the ongoing political turmoil in the state is largely due to the actions of the judiciary.
During a press conference in Port Harcourt on Monday, Okocha expressed his discontent with the judiciary, alleging that conflicting rulings have intensified political disputes.
He advocated for judicial reforms aimed at restoring public trust, highlighting the necessity for fairness and consistency in court decisions.
“The judiciary is at the root of the political crisis in Rivers State. Judges issue statements regarding PDP congresses, despite contrary rulings from superior courts,” he stated.
Okocha also criticized former state governor Hon. Chibuike Amaechi for his recent accusations of inciting violence against him.
