PORT HARCOURT, NIGERIA – The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) is a hive of academic celebration as its highly anticipated 36th Combined Convocation Ceremony enters day four today, June 4, 2026, at the Convocation Arena, Abuja Park.

The week-long event, which spans from June 1 to June 6, 2026, is drawing thousands of grads, parents, and academic dignitaries into the city.

In tandem with the convocation frenzy, the Vice-Chancellor of UNIPORT, Prof. Owunari Abraham Georgewill, issued a formal goodwill message to the institution's Muslim community ahead of the upcoming Eid-el-Kabir celebrations. The VC lauded the campus's diverse community for maintaining peace and academic excellence, noting that UNIPORT's recent ranking among Nigeria’s top 10 most sought-after universities at the JAMB policy meeting is proof of the institution's rising global profile.
