Driving Development: Governor Fubara Puts Infrastructure and Youth Empowerment at the Forefront in Rivers State

The wheels of progress continue to turn steadily across Rivers State as Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s administration ramps up its dual focus on massive capital expenditure, structural infrastructure development, and robust youth recognition.

Massive Capital Push for Infrastructure

At the heart of the administration’s current governance strategy is a resolute drive toward heavy capital investment. Significant fiscal allocations are channeling resources directly into key structural sectors with works and infrastructure leading the charge, closely backed by vital expansions in educational systems and healthcare delivery. Ongoing road projects, bridge maintenance, and enhanced security measures across various local government areas remain central to transforming Port Harcourt into a more economically resilient urban center.

Celebrating Excellence: Rivers Rewards NYSC Presidential Awardees

In a parallel move highlighting human capital development, the Rivers State Government recently celebrated excellence by awarding a total cash gift of ₦20 million to ten indigenes who clinched the prestigious National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Presidential Honours Award.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Dagogo Wokoma, Governor Fubara commended the awardees as stellar ambassadors of the state. He emphasized that recognizing discipline, dedication, and selfless service remains a cornerstone of his administration's vision to inspire the younger generation toward nation-building.
